After a year off, internet sensation Natasha Sky is back and ready to show off her NEW music to the world through her album and world tour, NOW.
Natasha Sky, the 19 year old
singer-songwriter who rose to fame and won the nation's heart at the
mere age of 16 when she was spotted performing at a local pub, is
back. After years of being the Nation's favourite sweetheart, with
her sweet, unique voice and bright blue eyes, the world suffered a
Natasha Sky blackout following the very public and humiliating break
up her ex (he-who-shall-not-be-named) planted on her back in early
2013. Sky found it in herself to pick up her guitar again and create
a new album, Now, after claiming that she was “done with guys, done
with fame and definitely done with music.” A world tour is at her
fingertips as she shows off her new rock-n-roll image to the world
with her upcoming single, “Torn Hearts”.
After spending the day with
her in the village where she grew up in, I personally felt extremely
sorry for the girl. He-(again)-who-shan't-be-named had managed to put
her through hell and back with his words, via Twitter, which still
remain on his page to this day. “I can't get the last words he said
to me out of his head. I won't repeat them, but they weren't... very
pretty.” Sky sighed, digging her hands into the pockets of her
leather jacket and kicking a stone on the pavement. We discovered
parts of her home-town which dug up reasons for Natasha to get back
into music. “Music has always been a huge part of my life, so it
was extremely difficult to stay away from my piano.” Sky confessed
with a laugh. “The album is like... it's like (excuse my language)
a big “fuck you” to all the people who have ever hurt me, and
hurt the people who listen to my music. I just had to turn all my
anger, all my pain and sorrow and betrayal into an album, and
suddenly I felt a lot better. I could breathe again.”
Yet,
despite the traumatic experience she suffered at the young age of 18,
Natasha Sky's passion for her music returned, forcing her to clear the
fog and play the abandoned keys of her piano and soon - very soon -
she'll be hitting the stages on her world tour and album, both titled
"Now" is to hit the shelves on December 12th, while her world tour kicks
off in London in early February. "I am so excited! There are literally
no words at all to describe how much I'm looking forward to getting on
the stage and just forgetting everything," She gushed as we approached
the run-down skate park beneath the setting sun and settling dusk. Despite wearing heeled ankle boots, it wasn't
long before they were kicked off and she was running up the ramps,
giggling her head off. "I just thought that a new image would be
relevant to having a new sound, y'know? I can't keep wearing pretty
dresses and singing about falling in love - I've grown up now, and so
has my music." Natasha said thoughtfully as she zipped her boots back
up, adjusted her jeans and quickly checked her ruby red lipstick. Then,
she flashed me a genuine grin before we called it a day and went our
separate ways.
