G321 - Contents Page - Q

Q

Clear branding of the magazine name – it quite obviously is from a Q magazine. It’s in various places around the page, e.g. in the bottom corner next to the page number. It makes it clear what the reader is looking at without confusing them.

Happy, quite laid-back images of the artists – this reflects the cover and the style of Q since they're quite a diverse magazine - they're open minded about who they put on the cover and what sort of feature articles they write about. This is because they know that there are a lot of differences between their readers and that they all expect different things from the magazine.

Reader's of Q won't find this sort of content shocking as they too are quite an open-minded audience – they’re likely to find it interesting instead of surprising. The readers of Q reflect the sort of content Q include on their contents page - they know what their readers want.

With artists such as Fleetwood Mac and Nirvana featured, it’s clear that the age range of the readers are quite varied as these are quite dated bands. Yet on the other hand, it shows that the audience has a varied music taste due to the current trends of liking 'real, vintage music' instead of or as well as modern day music.
